The PayPiKit is a mechanical and electrical kit to allow software developer wishing to develop on top of DJI's Payload and Mobile SDK to quickly enter the software space.

It comes in multiple versions:

  • Basic
  • Assembled
  • Full

Basic

The Basic kit only includes the hardware. You will have to assemble it all yourself, procure the electronics and cables to create a full kit.

Assembled

The Assembled kit comes with all the hardware; the heat set inserts will be installed and the cables will be included ready for your electronics components.

Full

The full kit include everything you need to get started straight into software.

Installed with a Raspberry Pi 5 8GB, the DJI E-port dev kit and a voltage regulator. All installed, configured* and tested. All you need to do is insert your SD card for the Pi, configura the software and jump into coding.

Design Considerations

The kit was designed so you can keep your M350 in its case and carry the kit inside the default payload cutouts. To fit properly the M350, you will need to cut some of the padding foam in the bottom of the case.

Customization

The PayPiKit was designed to be modified. This is why we offer the individual parts for sell if you need to replace them.

The kit cover was designed so you can easily attach sensor and other electronics to its body with minimal knowledge of mechanical engineering.

The flat top and side allow you to have reference points for accessories, or sensors. You can easily use a strong double sided tape there.

The front is designed with vertical segments that are placed at the middle (50%) and quarters of the full width of the kit. This is to make it easy to drill holes and attach frontal sensor precisely aligned with the aircraft.

All dimensions are available in the specs section.
